WebQuickster vs Hostinger vs SiteGround: EU WordPress Hosting

WebQuickster BASIC goes from €1.30 to €6.10 a month, so €73 a year. Hostinger Premium goes from €2.99 to €9.99, so €120 a year. SiteGround StartUp goes from €2.99 to €15.99, so €192 a year.

The promotions are also structured differently. WebQuickster and SiteGround charge twelve months at a time, €15.60 and €35.88 respectively. Hostinger’s €2.99 requires prepaying all 48 months, €143.52 in a single payment, which does give them the lowest four-year total. All figures exclude VAT.

It is SiteGround’s own label for the StartUp plan. Their feature list gives no figure for RAM or CPU on any of the three plans, only “Essential”, “Premium” and “Geeky”, plus a note that StartUp suits around 10,000 visits a month.

WebQuickster states the numbers: BASIC gets 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM, bound to your account with Linux cgroups. Hostinger publishes numbers too, and Premium is one CPU core with 2 GB RAM. The figure matters when several visitors arrive at once and pages cannot be served from cache.

For most single sites, yes. A company site or a blog with a few hundred images typically sits between 1 and 5 GB, and WordPress itself with a theme and twenty plugins stays under 1 GB. A shop with a large product catalogue is the case that outgrows it.

The 10 GB covers the site and its staging copy. Email is on separate mail servers, so mailboxes never eat into it. If you need more room or a second site, STANDARD gives two sites and 30 GB, PLUS three sites and 50 GB.

A weekly backup means that in the worst case you lose six days of work: posts, orders, comments, form submissions. For a site you update occasionally that may be fine. For one that takes orders it is not.

Hostinger Premium includes weekly backups, with daily backups starting on their Unlimited plan. WebQuickster BASIC and SiteGround StartUp both back up daily. WebQuickster additionally keeps every daily snapshot for the whole contract period, encrypted and outside the customer environment, so you can restore a single file or the whole site from any day.

This is worth reading the small print on. Hostinger and SiteGround both include the domain free for the first year, and Hostinger’s two mailboxes per website are free for one year as well. After that both renew at the regular price.

WebQuickster includes three mailboxes on BASIC with no expiry date and no storage quota per mailbox, and they sit on separate mail servers rather than on your web space. The domain is charged from the start, from €6.60 a year for a .de, at the same price every year.

Staging is a copy of the whole site where you can update WordPress, themes and plugins without risk. If it works, you push the changes live. If something breaks, it breaks on the copy.

All three include it at this level, which was not the case a year ago. At WebQuickster it is push and pull from the dashboard, and the staging copy is covered by the same 10 GB and the same daily backups.

It is deliberate. The servers are at Hetzner in Nuremberg and Falkenstein, certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and BSI C5 Type 2, and your data never leaves the EU. The Article 28 data processing agreement is published on the site and also concluded with Hetzner as a sub-processor, which is what a European business needs on file.

Hostinger and SiteGround both run global data centre networks, so where your data sits depends on the location you choose at signup. If you specifically want to serve visitors outside Europe, that flexibility counts in their favour.

You open a ticket in the control panel and get an answer in English, German, French, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian. Tickets are checked every hour, including in the evening, and the reply normally comes quickly, at most within 24 hours.

Hostinger offers 24/7 chat and SiteGround adds 24/7 phone. If you want someone on the line at three in the morning, they are the better fit.

You choose what the site is going to be: blog, online shop, business site, news site, education, community, real estate and more. WebQuickster then installs WordPress, the Blocksy theme and the plugins that type of site needs, including WooCommerce for a shop.

You start from a tidy setup instead of an empty WordPress where you have to guess which twenty plugins belong there. The start guide stays in the control panel and can be printed or downloaded as a file for your own AI assistant. Neither Hostinger nor SiteGround offers an equivalent.
